We just wanted to say we miss you pawpaw!! WE LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!

We took the girls to the strawberry festival this weekend and the rode a pony. It made me remember when I was 9 and I asked youfor a pony and you said okay. I was so happy we went to the livestock in Marshall and I seen the most beautiful white pony with long mare I said pawpaw I want that one. So you went over and talked to the man and he said he had gotten it from the Chincoteague inland and it was a little wild. You said that's ok there not a horse out there I can't break!! So you bought it and I named him Spirit we took him home and you got on him and he reared up and sat right down on your chest. You got up and got right back on him. So then it was my turn so you gave me a leg up and I went right off the other side. Then you said get up and try it again so I did. You told me you would hold on to the lead rope so he wouldn't run off, Haha that the first thing you did and then you slapped him on the rump and he took off across the paddock but that was ok because that was the start of my riding horses. I felt so free on Spirit going across the feilds. Thank you pawpaw. anyway Jessica Leigh is a natural on a horse she DIDN'T want to get off!! Just like her GREAT Pawpaw!!!!
Pawpaw
I just wanted to start by saying I miss you sooo much!! I miss going and feeding the chickens with you. I remember when I use to come over and you were asleep and I would come find you and you would take me by the hand and we would go outside. You would always smile when you seen me. I have your picture on my wall and i look at it all the time. I also wanted to say thank you for the bike you brought me for christmas I LOVE IT!! I can't believe you remembered when I was sitting on your lap and told you I wanted one. I wish I could have seen you when you brought it to me because I would have grabbed you and never let go! I would give anything for just one more hour with you. At night I hear daddy telling Jessica Leigh a prayer "now I lay me down to sleep" and tells her you taught him it. We all miss you and love with all our hearts!!!
Paw-paw,
Just wanted to start by saying I miss you each and every day. Jessica Leigh just turned a year old and I wish you could of been here to see her she is getting so big and talking. I see alot of features of you in her, like when ever she sees a horse she has to pet it. She can be running around the house getting into stuff and we are watching the horse races on tv and she hears the buzzer go off when the gates open she comes and stand in front of the tv until the race is over! We have your pictures all over and on the computer as the screen saver and when Jessica Leigh sees you she stopped and points at you and smiles. A couple of days ago Jessica Leigh was sleeping and we were watching her and she was smiling in her sleep and Stacy said you were talking to her.
Today February 20, 2009 is Dad's birthday. He and I had a joke going all my life that he was gonna lived to be 125 years old. Dad I remember this time last year when I was teasing you that you still owed me 47 years, instead of laughing and shaking your yes, you looked at me, schrugged your shoulders as if to say I don't know. I watched you dwiddle away right in front of me last year and I kept hoping that God would not call you up but I know you are better off now. I hope today that you are riding that big Chestnut horse we both loved across the brightest beautiful green fields and smiling down on those that loved you telling us to remember you for the wonderful man you were here on this earth but to keep living our lives to the fullest. I love you! Happy Birthday, DAD!
